TOP 10
Top 10 ways to save it before you forget
The bet is always the same. You will remember. These are the backups people use when that bet is bad.
01 A cap you are already wearing
Waga. Capture before you negotiate with yourself about whether it matters.
02 I will remember
The most common plan, and the one that fails tonight.
03 I will write it at my desk
The desk is an hour away. The sentence will not wait.
04 I will set a reminder
Setting the reminder is the task you are postponing.
05 I will tell them later
Later needs the exact words you no longer have.
06 A locked phone note
Stored, after the interruption you were avoiding.
07 A wearable you left on the desk
The backup stayed home.
08 A photo of a whiteboard
Useful in that room, at that hour.
09 An email draft
Too many steps for one line you might delete anyway.
10 Sleep on it
Morning keeps the mood, not the detail.
Waga is first because the cap is already on your head. You say the sentence. Your hands stay where they are. The phone stays in your pocket. Alia, on iPhone, keeps the note. No subscription.

The short answer
The usual plan is I will remember. It is also the plan that fails by dinner. The backups people trust are mostly delays: I will write it at my desk, I will set a reminder, I will tell them later. Each one spends the seconds in which the sentence still exists.
Waga is first because you capture before you negotiate about whether it matters. The cap is already on. You say the line. Alia, on iPhone, keeps it for a review you chose. No subscription. You can throw the note away tonight. You cannot rebuild it from a mood.
A locked phone note stores a shorter version after an interruption. A wearable you left on the desk is a backup that stayed home. Sleeping on it keeps the feeling and drops the name, the time, and the promise.
How to use the list
Treat maybe I will remember as the last method, not the first. If the thought would annoy you to lose, store the full sentence now. Importance is a bad filter in the moment, because deciding it is important is how you lose it.
Review when you are still. Keep, send, or delete. A backup you never open becomes another version of trust me, and that version also fails.
Why is I will remember last?
Because it is the default, and the default is the failure this list exists to avoid. Memory is fine for a song stuck in your head. It is a weak place for a time, a name, or a promise.
Is a reminder the same as a note?
Only after you set it. Meaning to set it is the task you postponed. The reminder has to exist before the context changes, or it is another intention.
What should you delete?
Anything that is wrong, duplicate, or no longer useful. A system that cannot throw notes away fills up, and then you stop saving the next one. Deleting is part of the review, not a reason to skip the capture.
